The next Tory media chief

Ex-tabloid editor to be Tory PR chief
THE man who resigned as the editor of Britain's largest-selling Sunday tabloid over a royal phone-tapping scandal has been appointed the media chief for the main opposition Conservatives, the party said.
Tory leader David Cameron said Mr Andy Coulson would become their director of communication and planning.
'Andy will make a formidable contribution as a senior member of my team in building the most effective strategy and operation to win the next general election,' he said.
Mr Coulson resigned from the News of the World on Jan 26 this year, saying he was taking 'ultimate responsibility' over the scandal that saw the Sunday tabloid's royal editor Clive Goodman jailed for four months.
Goodman hacked into more than 600 messages on the mobile phones of aides to the royal family, including Prince William, second in line to the throne.
